Frequently Asked Questions

questioning woman
Q. Which product should I get? One of the kits or the pen?
A. If it has been awhile since you've had a whitening treatment, either chair-side or at home, or you want to whiten significantly more, then you should get the either of the 2 home whitening kits. See next question to choose between them. If you've recently had a treatment, or if you don't want to use a kit, then get the whitening pen. It will help maintain your white smile after a treatment, or if you didn't have a treatment recently it will gradually whiten your teeth on-the-go.
Q. Of the two home whitening kits, which should I get?
A. Although both products deliver excellent whitening results, the Elite kit has several components that will help you get slightly better results, get quicker results, longer-lasting results, track your results effectively and store your mouth trays in a convenient case. That said, if all you care about is getting good results and you have a limited budget, then the standard Home Whitening Kit is more than good enough. If you want those extra features and can afford a few pounds more, then go for the Elite kit. Either way you'll love your new smile.
Q. How long does it take to see results?
A. Depending on the kit you use, you may see results in as little as 1-3 days; however, you can expect the best and final results in 1-2 weeks.
Q. How many applications are there in each product?
A. The GlamWhite pen contains 10mL, enough for up to 15 applications. The GlamWhite kits contains 10mL, enough for up to 15 treatments.
Q. I have mouth trays already, can I use them, or do I have to use the ones in your kit?
A. If your mouth trays are in good condition and were custom fitted to your teeth, you can use the gel in our kits with your trays. However, you'll still receive our trays with your kit.
Q. Can all teeth be whitened?
A. While most natural teeth can be whitened, there are a number of exceptions. Unfortunately, only real (natural) teeth can we whitened significantly. Caps, crowns, veneers, etc can sometimes benefit slightly from a teeth whitening treatment, but not much, and could only be taken back to their original color. People whose stains are derived from the antibiotic tetracycline or from fluorosis will see little or no improvement, but in some cases a little improvement means a lot to them. The more yellow your teeth are, the easier they are to whiten and the greater the improvement you will obtain. We only guarantee results on natural teeth that do not have tetracycline or fluorosis stains.
Q. How long will the results last?
A. The normal range is between 6 months and 2 years. The wide variation exists because people have different habits. The more staining beverages and foods one consumes and the more he/she smokes, the shorter the duration of results. The other factor is how porous the person's teeth are. Although you cannot know how porous your teeth are, the more porous the quicker the teeth can get stained, so that really depends on luck.
Q. How much whiter will GlamWhite get my teeth?
A. It varies. A teeth whitening treatment will not make everyone's teeth snow white, but for sure it will make them whiter (unless you have one of the conditions mentioned above in point 6). How much whiter actually depends on a multitude of factors, including how stained your teeth were, what caused the discoloration, how well your dentin reacts to gel, the kind and strength of gel used and the number applications and length of each one. You should know that our teeth can be whitened no more than their natural color, which is different for everyone. Most people get dramatic results while a few get less impressive results, but 99% of people are very satisfied with the results they obtain with our system. 7-12 shades improvement is the norm with our gel. However, the whiter your teeth are to start with, the less noticeable the improvement will be.
Q. Will GlamWhite products cause tooth sensitivity?
A. Generally, tooth sensitivity is only experienced with highly concentrated hydrogen peroxide gel. GlamWhite products use EU compliant gel, which does not typically cause tooth sensitivity.
